Criteria for Joining

• Full-time international student status at the University of Denver (F-1 or J-1    visa/immigration status).
• Membership in a student organization on campus.
• Three strong references.
• Cumulative GPA average of 3.5.
• Commitment to participate in 80% of all program activities throughout the    academic year.

Recruitment and Selection Process

• Applications are evaluated based on commitment, demonstrated leadership,   and future career goals during the spring quarter of the academic year.
• A committee of internationally-involved staff, faculty and community   members select ambassadors in the spring to begin the following fall quarter.
• Information sessions and application materials for the 2008-09 academic year    will be available in the early spring by contacting isss@du.edu.
