About the Festival of Nations

The Festival of Nations has been a campus tradition at the University of Denver for three decades. The annual festival was coordinated by the International Student Organization (ISO) until 2010, when the Festival of Nations Planning Board was formed to assist with planning, funding, and executing the growing Festival of Nations. The Festival of Nations is a student-led event.

The Festival of Nations, sponsored by the Festival of Nations Planning Board at the University of Denver, is an event intended to support the sharing, celebration, and appreciation of diverse cultural backgrounds, customs, and experiences among members of the University of Denver and surrounding Denver community. The event seeks to support the internationalization of the University and to foster inclusivity, a climate of respect and appreciation of differences, and to encourage cultural learning and exchange.

The Festival of Nations is now also the culmination of DU's Global Education Week, which highlights internationalization both inside and outside the classroom at the University of Denver.
