Global Education Week


Global Education Week is an annual spring event in which DU colleges, departments, and student organizations organize programs, lectures, and other educational events that showcase their efforts to internationalize the DU curriculum and campus community. It seeks to foster global citizenship and celebrate international education and cultural exchange across the DU campus.

Global Education Week culminates in the Festival of Nations on April 12, 2014 from noon -4pm in the Richie Center Concourse. The Festival of Nations supports the sharing, celebration, and appreciation of diverse cultural backgrounds, customs, and experiences among members of the University of Denver and surrounding Denver community through music, dance, food, art, stories, and educational displays.

Global Citizen

Global citizens:

  • Are worldminded;
  • Recognize the interconnected global environment and their role as world citizens;
  • Respect and value diversity;
  • Act to make the world a more just and sustainable place; and
  • Contribute to the community at many levels from local to global.
