The work of International
Student and Scholar Services is immeasurably enhanced by the
support and collaboration of community and student groups. Global Ambassadors
(DUGA) is an
umbrella organization of many different DU and greater community
members that work with and for international students.
The International
Graduate Student Ambassadors Program for Leadership (IGSA) is
a group of emerging international graduate student leaders
interested in advancing their global leadership skills and
network. The program offers students opportunities in such
areas as professional networking, team building, public speaking,
and service/stewardship. Activities include meeting with state
political and business leaders, attending international forums,
participating in a group service project, collaborating with
international DU events, and shadowing a community leader.
The ISO (International
Student Organization) and I-Team (International
Orientation Team) are two student
groups that work to enhance and spread the message of cultural
diversity, welcoming and friendship through their involvement
in International Orientation and the promotion of events such
as the Festival of Nations, the largest student-run event on
campus each year.
DU
is fortunate to have a number of International Student Clubs. These
organizations work with their members, other student clubs
and the greater community to help promote cultural diversity
and understanding.
