International Student Orientation
International Student and Scholar Services hosts orientations for new international students each quarter. During orientation, international student advisors and guest speakers will discuss a variety of topics to help you learn about maintaining your immigration status and being successful in your program.
All new international students (Undergraduate, Graduate and Law) must attend the International Student Orientation, including students who previously studied at the English Language Center. Make sure you keep the orientation date in mind when making your travel plans.
Undergraduate students will also have the opportunity to attend the Discoveries Orientation.
Winter 2013 - International Student Orientation
The international student orientation will take place on January 3, 2013, and is required for all new international undergraduate, graduate and law students including exchange students, transfers from other U.S. institutions, and students transitioning from the University's English Language Center.
| Date: | Thursday, January 3, 2013 |
| Time: | 9 a.m.—4 p.m. |
| Location | International House 2200 S Josephine Street Denver, CO 80208 Map |
All email communications sent to incoming students from International Student & Scholar Services can be located on the Pre-Arrival Newsletters page.
ISSS Immigration Check-In
All new international students including those transferring to DU from another U.S. university or from DU's English Language Center will need to bring their immigration documents to orientation so that ISSS can make copies of them.
Please review our Check-In web page for a list of what documents to bring with you. Not providing all of the required documents will delay the removal of the ISSS Registration Hold from your account and, therefore, prevent you from registering for your first-term classes until these documents are provided.
Winter 2013 Check-In
Immigration check-in for students starting in Winter quarter 2013 will take place during the International Student Orientation on January 3, 2013.
Students who are currently in Denver may complete the immigration check-in before the date of orientation, if needed, in order to register early for classes. However, they are still required to attend the entire International Student Orientation on January 3rd. New students would need to come to the International House during normal walk-in advising hours to complete this process.
