Transportation

There are several ways to reach the University of Denver from the Denver International Airport. Due to liability issues, International Student and Scholar Services is unable to provide airport pick-up services for new students at this time.

DU Student Organizations Airport Pick-Up

Some student organizations volunteer to pick students up at the airport as a service to their community. For a complete list of international student groups at DU and their contact information, please visit our Student Groups page.

Airport Shuttle

Two shuttle services provide ground transportation from Denver International Airport to Denver. A shuttle ticket generally costs $25 - $35, although group rates may be available if you are traveling with a number of people.

Public Transportation

The Regional Transportation District (RTD) offers public buses to and from Denver International Airport. At least one bus connection is required, so allow a minimum of two hours to arrive on campus. One-way fare costs $8 - $12, depending on your final destination. To plan your route, visit rtd-denver.com.

Hotel Shuttle

If you are staying at a hotel, contact your guest services representative to ask if a courtesy shuttle is available. Many hotels provide scheduled shuttle pick-up from the airport upon request. Hotel shuttles generally do not run after 10:00 pm, so you should verify that one will be available to pick you up if your flight arrives late at night.

Taxi

Taxis provide the most direct transportation to campus and are generally available at any time of the day, but one-way fare costs a minimum of $50, plus gratuity. However, if you are traveling with a number of people, taxis may be more cost-efficient since you can divide the fare among you. Taxis can be hailed in the ground transportation area outside the airport exit. For more information about taxi services available at Denver International Airport, visit flydenver.com.
