When you enroll in ILLC, you’ll learn to appreciate how different
cultures and experiences affect the way people view global issues and
concerns. You may not meet someone from each of the 190 or so countries
recognized by the United Nations and you probably won’t encounter
native speakers of the world’s 2,700+ languages, but you will gain
a broad and invaluable global perspective.
As an ILLC student, you will enroll in one two-credit seminar each quarter
of your first year. Courses change each year and are taught by faculty
from a number of different disciplines. Seminars may be used for elective
credits or applied toward certain majors or minors.
