The
mission of the International Living & Learning Community is to create
and build a community of select undergraduate students:
To attain a fundamental set of critical knowledge skills that facilitate
learning about, tolerance of, and understanding of diverse cultures, lifestyles
and customs.
To put into practice the skills and knowledge gained through service learning,
civic engagement and education abroad.
To live together in the first and/or second year of the program to advance
understanding of international issues and the bases for cultural similarities
and differences.
To create an environment that is conducive to develop a sense of self and
community.
To strengthen the curiosities associated with intercultural issues, through
collaborative experiential learning and collective inquiry.
To offer a forum for the opportunity to share personal global/cultural
experiences.
