GMF & IPPS
Overview

The Institute for Public Policy Studies has been one of only nine Marshall Memorial Fellowship Regional Partners since 2002.

The Marshall Memorial Fellowship was created by the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) to strengthen the transatlantic relationship between the next generation of American and European leaders.

As a Regional Partner, IPPS works with GMF every year to:

  • identify Colorado Fellows for a three-week intensive study of Europe and transatlantic issues
  • coordinate the activities of European Fellows visiting Colorado to learn about the U.S. and its institutions, politics, and people

The German Marshall Fund is an American institution that stimulates the exchange of ideas and promotes cooperation between the U.S. and Europe in the spirit of the postwar Marshall Plan. GMF was created in 1972 by a gift from the German people as a permanent memorial to Marshall Plan aid.

For more information about GMF, visit the website at www.gmfus.org.
