Pre-collegiate / summer bridge program
All incoming P3 students participate in a one-week training in areas of academic preparation for their first year, leadership development, social identity development, campus networking, and other key components that ensure student success. Students participate in sessions led by professors from various departments at the University of Denver that cover success strategies such as study skills, test taking, and navigating the undergraduate curriculum while preparing them for graduate work. Students also have the opportunity to create a tight-knit community of support that includes their peers and other campus agents who can serve as resources for career and graduate studies opportunities after graduation. Students move into the residence halls early to participate in the summer orientation program.
Time frame: Week-long program, late August, before start of the school year.
