2012 Korbel Dinner Honorees

This year's keynote speaker will be Walter Isaacson, CEO of The Aspen Institute and celebrated author. Walter's works include Steve Jobs; American Sketches; Einstein: His Life and Universe; Kissinger: A Biography; and Benjamin Franklin: An American Life. Previously, he was Managing Editor of TIME and CEO of CNN. The University of Denver will honor Walter with the Global Leadership Award for his work fostering public/private partnerships in international development.

Lee McIntire, Chairman and CEO of CH2M HILL, will receive this year's University of Denver International Bridge Builders Award, in recognition of his contributions to several international endeavors, including the World Economic Forum, the U.S.-Brazil CEO Forum, and the Aspen Institute's Commission on the Artic.

Trygve Myhren, President of Myhren Media, Inc. and Chairman of DU's Board of Trustees will receive the Josef Korbel Humanitarian Award for his leadership worldwide and his generous philanthropic work within the Denver community. Trygve led a number of media consortia and founded six cable networks, including the Food Network. He is a member of both the National Cable Television and the Colorado Ski and Snowboard Halls of Fame. His many philanthropic interests include the U.S. Paralympic ski team, education, Connect the Kids uplift for disadvantaged youth, Denver Art Museum and environmental sustainability.
