Exploring the possibility of a new role in your current field or perhaps need more skills to supplement those you already have? Graduate certificate programs at the Josef Korbel School offer comprehensive course curriculums that provide the core knowledge and skills you need.

The following graduate certificates can be incorporated into any of our 90 credit hour MA programs, providing students with an in-depth look at these issues while still completing the MA program in two academic years or less.

  • Certificate Program in Global Health Affairs  provides advanced theoretical, practical and leadership training at the intersection of health and international affairs. This program can also serve as a stand-alone certificate.
  • Certificate Program in Homeland Security provides one of the first and most comprehensive programs that addresses the critical needs of homeland security. This program can also serve as a stand-alone certificate.
  • Certificate Program in Humanitarian Assistance  provides in-depth coursework for students seeking a deeper understanding of the theoretical, normative and practical dimensions of humanitarianism within the context of humanitarian intervention and disaster relief.

Please note: these are not a stand-alone certificates. Interested students must apply and be accepted to an MA program, and then may pursue a certificate in conjunction with an MA.
