Information for New Students

Congratulations on your admission to the Josef Korbel School of International Studies! We are excited about you joining us in the fall. This is a great time to become a Korbel student as the Josef Korbel School is truly a school on the rise.

Discover Korbel is Friday, March 31 

This is an all-day event to learn more about the Josef Korbel School and will be held on the beautiful University of Denver campus. The day's agenda will include mock classes, alumni panels and opportunities to meet and connect with current students, professors and your future cohort. Registration is now open and we hope to see you there!

You will be among the first Korbel students to experience some of the aspects that make Korbel one of the world's premier schools of international relations:

• Our new building, the John and Anna J. Sie International Relations Complex, opened in March 2016. With a space that matches a top school of international relations, our new building has simulation rooms, large classrooms, space for networking, a coffee shop, and event space for the many international leaders who visit campus.

• The U.S. State Department selected the Josef Korbel School to host Diplomat in Residence starting in Fall 2016. Diplomats in Residence are career Foreign Service Officers and Specialists who provide guidance and advice on careers, internships and fellowships.

• Recent faculty hires in the areas of International Futures, International Development and Security and Technology assures faculty with the research focus of your future career.

• Effective July 1, 2016, the Josef Korbel School is pleased to offer a Master's in Public Policy. With this addition you will have access to some of the world's international relations experts who also focus on public policy along with guest speakers working in the global and domestic policy arena.

We are excited about you. We are excited about the future of Korbel and we're looking to you to help us continue to make Korbel a school on the rise.
