Financial aid for international students
The Josef Korbel School is committed to enrolling a diverse and talented student body with representation from all regions of the world. To achieve this goal, we offer financial support to qualified international applicants during the admissions process. All international applicants are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships, but may also qualify for special international student scholarships based on the overall quality of application, including TOEFL score. Applicants are not required to submit additional documents and will be notified of the scholarship decision at the time they are offered admission.
Private loans
Private educational loans are an important funding source for international students. The terms of private loans vary significantly; they have higher interest rates than federal loans because the federal government does not guarantee them. They require a credit check and, typically, a co-signer. The University of Denver recommends that students compare lenders and make informed loan selection choices. The Office of Financial Aid provides information on lenders who offer competitive products, high-quality customer service and meet the University's electronic processing requirements.
