Study Abroad in China

There are five programs approved by Cherrington Global Scholars for study abroad in China.

We recommend the China Studies Institute, which is affiliated with American University. It is a unique program that combines Chinese language courses with the study of Chinese politics, economics, foreign policy, culture and society taught in English by top Chinese professors trained in the US. DU graduate students have the opportunity to conduct independent research, engage in internships as well as take graduate seminar courses or language instruction at the China Studies Institute at Peking University. Major highlights for potential students are the internships which will be available not only in Beijing but also Shanghai with top multi-national corporations, international news agencies, and other international institutions.

More Information/Brochures are available in the China Center. Please also visit the program's website at www.china-studies.net

New this Summer! The China Studies Institute has designed a program specifically for engineering and science students. There will be three major courses: Introduction to Electrical Engineering, China in Transformation and Chinese Language, as well as various extra curriculum activities. It will start from June 4 and end on July 30. For detailed information, please see the flyer.
