Susan Dorsey has more than 20 years experience in international development and finance. She is currently the Chief Financial Officer for Water for People, an international development organization supporting water and sanitation projects in 10 countries across Latin America, Africa and Asia. Prior to joining Water For People, Dorsey spent twelve years as Executive Director of Friendship Bridge, an innovative microfinance organization operating in rural Vietnam and Guatemala providing microcredit and education opportunities for its clients and their children.
Dorsey is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver's Josef Korbel School of International Studies and a technical advisor for Nape Foundation, an international development organization working in Africa. She has an MBA from the Yale School of Management and a Bachelor's degree in Business and Finance from the University of Vermont. Dorsey served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in rural Costa Rica. Prior to serving as a Peace Corps volunteer, she worked for several years in banking and finance with the First National Bank of Maryland.
