Christi Yoder is a MA candidate in international studies at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver. Her main interests lie in gender-based violence in conflict zones and civilian protection.
Prior to coming to the Josef Korbel School, Christi worked as a research wildlife biologist developing contraceptives. In this role, she designed and conducted research studies and conducted data analysis leading to the publication in peer-reviewed journals. She also collaborated with international researchers to further wildlife contraception knowledge. Christi hopes to work in a position that will allow her to use her experience in data analysis and GIS to contribute to humanitarian protection work in the field, eventually leading to policy work.
Christi graduated from Colorado State University in 2006 with a PhD in reproductive physiology.
