Humanitarian Assistance Student Samuel MadisonSamuel Madison is a master of arts candidate in international development at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies, focusing on humanitarian assistance in the Middle East.  Prior to starting graduate studies at the University of Denver, Samuel spent time doing archaeology work in Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean, as well as working and volunteering in the Middle East.

Most recently, Samuel spent six months in Palestine, Lebanon and Jordan.  During these six months, Samuel worked alongside refugees and other disadvantaged members of the community, focusing on educating children, and others without access to classroom instruction.

After completing his degree, Samuel hopes to work with an NGO or multilateral organization whose work focuses on humanitarian assistance for refugees, and development in the Middle East.  Samuel is originally from San Francisco and has a BA in psychology from Hobart College.
