Korbel Adjunct Professor Kishore Kulkami saluted

Professor Kishore KulkarniJosef Korbel School of International Studies Adjunct Professor Kishore G. Kulkarni, a full-time professor of economics at Metropolitan State College of Denver, has been awarded Metro's Extraordinary Service to the College Award for 2010. 

"This honor speaks highly of the quality of your continued commitment to Metro State and the admirable level of exceptional service you have demonstrated over the years," said Metro State President Stephen Jordan in announcing the award.

Kulkarni, who also serves as chief editor for the Indian Journal of Economics and Business, has taught at the Josef Korbel School since 1991. He chaired the economics department at Metro State from 1994-1997 and also teaches at the University of Colorado-Boulder and the Colorado School of Mines.

Kulkarni has published more than 100 journal articles and eight books. In his more than three decades of academic life, Kulkarni has delivered lectures at universities in India and the United States.

Other awards include Golden Key International Honor Society?s Outstanding Teacher (2001), Outstanding Researcher (1997), and Faculty Senate?s Distinguished Service to the College (2004).

Kulkarni was born in Pune, India, and emigrated to the United States in 1976. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh. Congratulations to Professor Kulkarni!
