Students are able to catch a glimpse at the worlds their fellow students have explored
and maybe even take a piece home with them thanks to the Peace Corps silent auction.Decorating the Josef Korbel School are several photographs from around the world. The Peace Corps Community is currently holding its annual Photography Silent Auction where Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (Fellows) and Master's International students have submitted photos from their service or travels around the world.
“This event is an opportunity for the Peace Corps Community to help Americans to understand the cultures of other countries, one of the Peace Corps three main goals,” Sophie Dila, president of the Peace Corps Community, said.
Bidding will start about $3 per photo and just like any auction, the photo is sold to the highest bidder. All of the proceeds go to support a Peace Corps Master's International student's field project benefiting a poor community.
The silent auction ends November 17.
