Korbel Faculty to Offer Non-Credit Short Courses

Two Josef Korbel School faculty members will be teaching non-credit, short enrichment courses in the upcoming months.

Josef Korbel School Dean Christopher Hill, having served as ambassador to Iraq from April 2009 to August 2010, the Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs from 2005 to 2009, and as ambassador to Korea, Poland and Macedonia, will present a class titled "The Urgent vs. the Important: U.S. Policy in the Middle East and East Asia."

Professor Claude d'Estree, director of the Center on Rights Development at the Josef Korbel School, will present his class on modern day slavery, "The Hidden Population: Uncovering the Problem of Forced Labor & Human Trafficking." With an estimated 23 to 27 million slaves in the world today, more people are enslaved than ever before.
