University of Denver’s Josef Korbel School of International Studies to Host Award-Winning Author

Celebrated journalist and award-winning author Pankaj Mishra will visit the University of Denver's Korbel School of International Studies on January 24, 2013 at noon.

Mishra's visit, which is co-sponsored by the University's Center for Middle East Studies and the Center for China-United States Cooperation, will include a lecture that explores the impact of China and India's rising power titled "The Remaking of Asia: What Does the Shift of Power from the West to the East Portend?"

Mishra, a columnist for Bloomberg View and author of several highly acclaimed books, was recently named one of the 100 Top Global Thinkers of 2012 by Foreign Policy magazine.   "We're honored to host Mr. Mishra," said Nader Hashemi, director of the Center for Middle East Studies at the University of Denver. "He is truly one of the leading voices on global affairs, particularly on the rise of Asia."
