Chinese Executive Media Management Program Fellows visit the Sié Center

July 23, 2013 – On Tuesday, the 2013 Cohort of the Chinese Executive Media Management Program (CEMMP) met with John Sie, Dean Christopher Hill, and a number of Sie Fellows at Sié Chéou-Kang Center for International Security and Diplomacy at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies. The CEMMP is one of the leading international fellowship training programs in the cable and telecommunications industry. At the event, Dean Christopher Hill discussed some of the major challenges facing the US-China relationship, including economic competition, North Korea and the US pivot to Asia.
The CEMMP program entails five weeks of intensive in-classroom training and corporate briefings at the University of Denver. This includes course work in business planning, management, marketing and marketing research, accounting and financial analysis, and leadership development. The curriculum also includes material on the structure, legal/regulatory framework, competitive landscape of the programming/multichannel video marketplace and the convergence that is taking place in the across the U.S. telecommunications industry. The program has been developed by The Cable Center. The financing of the program is through the Anna and John J. Sie Foundation.
