DU is located in a safe, central Denver neighborhood that's a harmonious blend of students, singles, retirees and families. Everything you need - including cafes, restaurants, grocery stores, parks, laundry facilities and much more - is just blocks from campus.
Due to the compact nature of DU and the surrounding community, only about half of DU students bring cars to campus. Many find that their bicycles and feet are the best ways to get around in our dry, sunny climate. A trip to downtown Denver is as easy as jumping on a light-rail train or a bus, since stops for both are within blocks of campus and all full-time students receive a light-rail/bus pass.
Living on Campus
While undergraduates are required to live on campus, in residence halls, for at least two years, living on campus is optional for graduate students. To learn more about on-campus housing options at the University of Denver, visit DU's housing site.
Living off Campus
