Education: BS Political Science and Strategic Communication, Texas Christian University
Program at the Josef Korbel School: International Administration
What work experience do you have? I have completed various internships in international exchange, marketing/PR, and politics. I also currently work at the Frederick S. Pardee Center for International Futures as a research assistant and media manager.
Why did you choose the Josef Korbel School? I chose the Josef Korbel School because of the flexibility in its programs and courses, its location in Denver and the various opportunities to get involved.
What are your career goals? I plan to develop a career as a global political and strategic communicator, working with nonprofits, foundations, advocacy organizations and political candidates.
So far, how has the Josef Korbel School prepared you for your career? The flexibility to choose specific skills courses, working closely with the Office of Career and Professional Development and working at the Frederick S. Pardee Center for International Futures have all particularly prepared me for my career.
Have you completed an internship while at the Josef Korbel School? During the spring quarter of 2014, I completed an internship with RBI Strategies and Research, a political firm specializing in consultancy, polling and strategy for domestic and international clients. During my internship, I worked on many of the firm’s accounts, including ballot initiatives, candidates for public office, advocacy groups, and international clients. Projects included aspects of messaging, media production, and campaign administration and strategy. I was offered a full-time position at the firm following my internship, so it is my current place of employment.
