The Brass Department at the Lamont School of Music is one of the exceptional brass training programs in the country, providing a dynamic, nurturing, and comprehensive program tailored to each student.Brass students at Lamont benefit from a close working relationship with the professional musicians of the Aries Brass Quintet and The Denver Brass, attending concerts and rehearsals of these ensembles as well as those of the Colorado Symphony. The Lamont Brass Ensemble performs much of the literature of The Denver Brass and all brass students present the annual "Concert for Jennie." Like all instrumentalists at Lamont, brass students perform in a variety of other chamber ensembles and in weekly performance classes. Large ensembles at Lamont include the Lamont Wind Ensemble, Lamont Jazz Orchestra, and the Lamont Symphony Orchestra.
