Audition Requirements

Flute- Undergraduate

1. All major and minor scales
2. Three-octave chromatic scale
3. Two contrasting movements from one of the following:

   •  Any J.S. Bach, Handel, or Telemann sonata

   •  Mozart, Concerto in G Major

   •  Mozart, Concerto in D Major

4. Any French conservatory solo, i.e. Faure Fantasie , Enesco, Cantabile and Presto , Chaminade Concertino , etc.

Flute- Graduate

1. Two contrasting movements from one of the following:

   •  J. S. Bach, Sonata in E Minor

   •  J. S. Bach, Sonata in B Minor

   •  Mozart, Concerto in G Major

•  Mozart, Concerto in D Major

2. One or two movements from two of the following;

   •  Dutilleux, Sonatina

   •  Liebermann, Sonata

   •  Hindemith, Sonate

   •  Prokofieff, Sonata

   •  Ibert, Concerto

   •  Widor, Suite op. 34 #
