Conservatory Program Degree Programs

Bachelor of Arts (BA)

The Bachelor of Arts in music emphasizes theory and history of music in a predominantly academic setting, while providing opportunities for vocal or intrumental private study. The BA will prepare you for a future in music which could include graduate study in musicology.

If music education is your goal, the music teacher certification program, offered through the University of Denver's College of Education provides the pathway to certification for public school teaching. Hands-on classes are taught by professional music educators.

Bachelor of Music (BM)

The Bachelor of Music program develops your artistic talents by refining technical and interpretive skills to their highest level of excellence. This program is suited for a performance career or post-graduate studies.

The Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies and Commercial Music emphasizes performance, recording, MIDI technology, computers, and business of the contemporary music world.

The 3/2 Program is an integrated bachelor/master degree program at the University of Denver which enables students to complete both an undergraduate degree in music and a Master of Business Administration degree all in five years. The 3/2 program is highly marketable for students who want a career in music business or music management.

Bachelor of Music with Concentration in Audio Production

The Lamont School of Music offers a Bachelor of Music with Concentration in Audio Production. This degree prepares the student for careers including recording or sound reinforcement engineer, music producer, or performer in a music production environment.

Bachelor of Music in Carillon Performance

The Lamont School of Music offer a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music in Carillon Performance

Master of Music and Master of Arts in Music (MM)

(Graduate Students Only)
Lamont offers graduate degrees in performance, composition, conducting, music education, piano pedagogy, theory, history and Suzuki pedagogy. Tuition and Expenses

Please current rates, please visit DU Financial Aid. Note: Graduate tuition is quoted at the maximum rate. Most Lamont graduate students complete the degree in two years, taking less hours per quarter and their tuition rates are lower.
