Megan Buness (voice)
is a lover of modern vocal chamber repertoire. While receiving her B.A. in
Vocal Education in Minnesota, she sang with the St. Olaf College Touring
Choir, performing in Carnegie Hall & the Lincoln Center. In her year in
China, Megan sang traditional Chinese Folk Songs under a private teacher,
and later in Denver sang Tagalong Art Songs with a Philippians ensemble. In
Denver, Megan received her Master’s in Vocal Performance at DU, becoming a
two-time winner of the Lamont Chamber Competition and performing the role of
Dorabella in Cosi Fan Tutte. In the years since graduation, Megan has sung
opera in Austria and with the New York Opera Studio, as well as faculty
recitals at Metro and CCD. She is currently voice faculty at CCD. Megan also
conducts the Bethel Lutheran Church Choir and composes piano/vocal
music.
