On-Line Audio Materials

The audio material accompanying several of the textbooks used in Languages and Literatures classes is now available for access from any computer on the DU network.

Important Note: Due to copyright restrictions, you must be using a computer system connected directly to the DU network, either on campus or through the DU Virtual Private Network (for more information on the DU VPN, contact University Technology Services). You may also connect by dialing in through the DU modem pool.

System Requirements:

an Ethernet connection to the DU network, a cable or DSL internet connection and the DU VPN client, or a 56k modem
a web browser that supports JavaScript, such as Netscape Navigator 4.7 or later or Internet Explorer 4.5 or later.
Quicktime 6 or later. If you do not have QuickTime installed on your system, you can download it for free from Apple.

To go to the audio tracks, click on the name of the textbook you are using.

Notes:

There will be a short delay after you click the "play" button in the window or when you move the slider to change your place in the audio track. This is normal with streaming media

Close the window of the track you have open before you click on another track or you may have two playing at the same time

If a track will not play, please contact the Lab Director. Please note that we cannot provide technical assistance with the installation or operation of QuickTime.
