About the DU Latino Center

The DU Latino Center was created to be a center for Latino voices both inside and outside of the university, developing transcendent tools to generate and advance knowledge and define success.

As a result of national demographic shifts and a more interconnected world, the Latino experience and history has gained a renewed focus. Latinos have a long history of making significant contributions to art, music, literature, sports, language, national defense, education, business, politics, the economy and many other facets of society. Historically, Latinos bring forth a multiplicity of assets in the form of talents, knowledge, skills and gifts that continue to shape the nation and its position in the world. At the DU Latino Center, we strive to create and advance these talents, knowledge,
skills and gifts.
