Application FAQ's
Is my PLP application/admittance different from my DU application/admittance?
Yes. Your PLP application and acceptance is separate from your application to the University of Denver. Do not send your PLP application to the Office of Admission. It should be emailed directly to brynn.vassos-moffett@du.edu OR posted to: Pioneer Leadership Program, Driscoll South, Ste. 1, 2050 E. Evans Ave., Denver, CO 80208 OR faxed to: 303-871-4443.
Do you offer Scholarships?
PLP does not currently offer financial assistance for incoming students. However, starting a student's second year in the program, they are eligible to apply for approximately 20 (changes yearly) scholarships through the program between the amounts of $1000 and $2000 (yearly). Depending on the scholarship, it can last one, two or three years.
For Colorado Residents, we encourage you to consider applying for the Puksta Scholarship, awarded to students who demonstrate financial need and commitment to the community. You can only apply for this scholarship if you are a resident of the state of Colorado AND have already been admitted to the University of Denver.
Can you explain PLP housing?
First, if you are admitted to the program, you will be asked to sign a Community Admittance and Living Agreement. Once the entire PLP class has been admitted and confirmed, the list is turned over to Housing and Residential Education (HRE). HRE takes our list of students out of the general pool and places them on the PLP floor. They do roommate matching as well.
Other FAQ's
Can I apply before I have been accepted to the University of Denver?

How do you communicate with students, via the post or email?
We try to do all our communication via email. Please be prepared to communicate in this format.
Does the program fill-up during those who apply by the Early Application Deadline?
No. This only means your application is processed earlier. The program is not filled.
