As an incoming first year DU student, you are required to live on campus. The Pioneer Leadership Program (PLP) makes it possible for you to live with 65 other motivated, committed and like-minded students, stimulating a strong community of leadership learning. PLP students live together in the endearing and historic Johnson-McFarlane Hall. Special events, retreats, team projects and focused dialogues on the floor create a synergistic community of peers. Students create relationships that allow deeper and more sustainable classroom projects, campus involvement and community partnerships.
The residential component is considered one of the most valuable assets of the first year PLP experience. A second-year optional residential opportunity in Nelson Hall is extended to all eligible students continuing in the minor. Registration for this second year option is given priority access for room choices on the designated PLP second-year floor.
