DU Alum Craig Harrison - Winner of Ammi Hyde Award

Craig Harrison, PLP Alumni, was recently recognized for his achievement at DU's Annual Founder's Day event. Craig was awarded the Ammi Hyde Award for outstanding achievement as a DU Alumni.
Craig is worthy of this award for more than just his business success. He is an incredible support to the University of Denver in many ways. First, Craig was instrumental in establishing a recent graduate scholarship fund. He not only generously contributed to this fund, but he recruited the involvement and support of a number of other alumni which made this scholarship possible. Additionally, Craig recently partnered with the Class of 2008 to enhance their efforts at contributing a Senior Class Gift. Through his time and energy, a group of alumni and friends matched the funds raised by the Class of 2008, doubling the support critical for additional scholarships at DU.
In addition to Craig's many efforts in support of his alma mater, Craig has also achieved considerable success in his young career. Craig has started a number of businesses and is the consummate entrepreneur. With fellow DU alumnus Ryan Boykin, Craig founded US Capital, a late-stage venture capital financing company, and the firm now has over $8 million under management. Additionally, Craig has successfully launched other businesses including Scout Cleaning and Maintenance, an eco-friendly commercial cleaning business, and HouseFront, a real estate text-messaging service.
Craig has been invaluable in supporting the Pioneer Leadership Program at the University of Denver. In addition to sitting on the PLP Advisory Board and providing key insight into the leadership development of top students at DU, Craig has also generously volunteered his time to come into classes and share lessons from an alumni perspective. Additionally, Craig has frequently helped students who are looking for internships or jobs by graciously opening his vast network of professional colleagues to DU students.
In addition to his work with students in the Pioneer Leadership Program, Craig has also been an incredibly valuable asset in developing the program further. He is currently assisting with fund raising for the porgram and has already connected our program with key leaders in the community to support our efforts.
