Jordan M. Singer

Director of Research
Jordan M. Singer comes to the Institute after several years of private practice,
focusing on intellectual property litigation and complex commercial cases.
A Colorado native, Singer received his A.B. in Government and Near Eastern
Languages from Harvard University in 1997 and his J.D. from Harvard Law School
in 2000. Singer served as Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard International Law
Journal from 1999-2000 and also served on the Harvard Journal on Legislation.
From 2001 to 2006, Singer worked at the Boston office of Goodwin Procter LLP,
where his practice focused on a wide range of litigation in federal and state courts,
including patent and copyright cases, general commercial disputes and product
liability cases. From 2000 to 2001, Singer served as a law clerk to the Honorable
Gregory J. Hobbs, Jr. of the Colorado Supreme Court. While in law school, Singer
worked as a summer associate at the Denver office of Sherman & Howard LLC.
He is admitted to the bars of Colorado and Massachusetts.
Singer has been heavily involved in legal education and outreach programs to
children. From 2002 to 2005, he led Goodwin Procter's participation in the
Discovering Justice project, which educated fifth-and sixth-grade students from
the Boston Public Schools about civics and the American legal system,
and which culminated in a mock trial presided over by a state or federal judge.
Singer was also on the board of Massachusetts-based Juvenile Justice Partners
from 2002 to 2003.
