Domestic Relations
IAALS is in a unique position to advocate for reform in the area of domestic relations case processing, based on the significant background and experience of its staff in implementing changes in Colorado and the added expertise of several members of the Board of Advisors. This initiative will focus on gathering existing and new empirical and anecdotal data that identifies the sources of cost and delay in the handling of domestic relations disputes. It will also examine the limitations of the traditional adversary process as applied to divorce cases and offer recommendations for improvement.
