The LISA executive board held an official meeting on May
20, 2001, just before the start of the spring picnic in Observatory Park.
Lisa Cole, Vice-President/President-Elect called the meeting to order,
and began the discussion of elections for the 2001-2002 LISA officers.
Lisa will be handling the responsibilities of gathering nominations and
determining the logistics of how the election is handled.
dr. twining, LISA Faculty Advisor, announced that the
Phipps’ Gala would be held June 12, 2001 to recognize LIS graduates.
Other events discussed included New Student Orientation to be held in the
fall (date to be announced), and CLA, which will be October 27, 2001.
Members of the LISA executive board will be present at Orientation and
will be encouraging students to present at CLA.
Meeting was adjourned.
