MENTORING PROGRAM

LISSAA (The Library & Information Student Association) is sponsoring a mentoring program. This program is an opportunity for students and alumni to share information, ideas and wisdom. We are sure it will be a positive experience for new students, students who have been in the program for a while and for alumni.

The mentoring program has several goals.
- It will pair new students with students who have been in the LIS program for while. New students will benefit from the advice of experienced students.
- Students who are close to graduation can be paired with alumni who are currently working in the library field. These students will gain valuable insight into the "real world" of librarianship.
- Students who wish to make a new connection with another student or alumn will benefit from this opportunity for networking.

If you are an LIS student who would like a mentor or if you are a student or alumn who would like to serve as a mentor, please send an email to Tracie Kruse. It will be helpful to send us the following information. This information will help LISSAA pair students and mentors with similar interests and goals.
