Background:

Paul Laesecke brings an interesting mix of education and practical experience to the University of Denver.  In addition to teaching  a variety of lodging and food service management in the School of Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management,   In the Daniels MBA program, he teaches the capstone course which integrates various business disciplines and applies them to a local business case situation. 

Along with Paul's educational experience, he brings 23 years of practical experience.  This includes positions as Vice President of operations for an 11-unit restaurant chain; president and one of the founders of TGIF Texas, a franchise of TGI Friday's Inc, which was taken public and traded on the NASDAQ Exchange; in charge of management development and recruiting for Holiday Inn's Inc. and Wyndham Hotels and Resorts at the corporate level.  He also assisted in turning around Wyndham's hotel in Kingston, Jamaica and opening their first all-inclusive resort hotel in St. Lucia, W.I.
