Living & Learning Communities
What We Do
In the International LLC, students increase their awareness of international concerns in a number of ways:
- Twice each quarter, guest speakers visit our class to present on various issues such as:
- work and study abroad opportunities (including international non-government organizations and the Peace Corps)
- human rights
- genocide
- health
- global environmental concerns
- Denver Scavenger Hunt helps you get to know your floor-mates while exploring Denver and the campus
- We enjoy a fall retreat in the great outdoors while learning more about each other, ourselves, and the International LLC
- Every quarter the floor dines as a group (and in smaller groups) at one of many cultural restaurants in Denver
- Cultural events that we participate throughout the year also include the opera, plays, and/or symphony
- Many international films are featured at local theaters, classrooms, or on the floor
- You are provided with opportunities to give back to both the local and the international community as a group or individually through service learning opportunities
