Social Justice
Gain tools to work for justice and create positive social change.
The Social Justice LLC is a community of students who want to learn about their social and moral development as human beings.
Through the lens of social justice, we explore causes of oppression by examining various forms of privilege and power and have meaningful dialogues through active participation and learning in the classroom, within the residence halls and outside of DU.
For students who are interested in addressing social, political and economic injustices, and learning about how to become an active part of the solutions through community engagement, the Social Justice LLC is the place for you!

Student Profile: Addie Crawley
Best part about the SJC: Addie feels the Social Justice Community has given her the tools she needs in order to see the world more realistically while at the same time empowering her to change it. Every person "fighting the man" is her role model and she considers Gandhi to be her favorite activist.
Interests: Addie's favorite book is "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" and her favorite movie is "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind". She loves Italian and Chinese food and considers herself an extrovert. Addie is currently the RA of the 1st year SJC floor in JMAC. She interned with the Colorado Progressive Coalition last year, where she focused on economic justice issues, and hopes to continue in that line of work in the future.
