Notice

The purpose of the Colorado Coal Field War Project is to: (1) understand how conditions in the coal camps led to the strike and how the strike changed those conditions, and (2) raise public awareness of the Coal War and the Ludlow Massacre. In collaboration with the Colorado Digitization Program, this website identifies and makes accessible unique information resources on the Southern Colorado Coal Field to the citizens of Colorado and to the world, and will provide K-12 educators strategies for teaching students about events that occurred in the Colorado coal fields. Through this website, the Colorado Coal Field War Project offers the public access to a wide range of historical and cultural resources, lesson plans, curriculum guides, and scholarly research as a contribution to education and resource discovery. As such, this website links to other sites on the Internet. The Colorado Coal Field War Project and the Colorado Digitization Program are not responsible for the content or changes in content of the sources to which this site links.
