About

Mission, Vision and Values

The University of Denver Magazine is published quarterly -- fall, winter, spring and summer -- by the University Communications division.

Mission

The mission of the University of Denver Magazine is to connect its readers to each other and to the University. It will reflect excellence, innovation, engagement, integrity and inclusiveness in its pages. It will support the University's efforts to contribute to a sustainable common good.

Vision

The University of Denver Magazine will reflect the highest quality on every page, and in so doing, the magazine will become a "must read." It will engage its readers, moving them to respond intellectually, emotionally, financially or by action. It will instill a sense of pride in the University and the accomplishments of its alumni, students, faculty and staff. The University of Denver Magazine upholds the CASE Principles of Practice for University and College Periodicals Editors.

Values

As a reflection of the University, the University of Denver Magazine values intellectual freedom and the freedom of expression. It embraces honesty and the ethical practice of journalism. It acknowledges the important role of history and the student experience in shaping the institution, and it respects individual difference. Above all, the magazine values the relationships it helps foster between students, alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends.
