University Seal

The University of Denver seal, in use for more than 65 years, incorporates symbols emblematic of the University's history. It is associated with tradition and speaks to the University's longevity. It occasionally appears as a marker on significant University buildings.

The seal is reserved for use by the Office of the Chancellor. The chancellor may employ it for special invitations, programs and commemorative materials. It also appears on diplomas and certificates.

The seal is not to be used on University-wide or department-specific marketing materials, collateral or letterhead. Because it does not speak to the University's current values, mission or aspirations, it does not convey identity effectively.

On rare occasions, the seal may be deemed a suitable design element for materials testifying to the University's historical significance. Before incorporating the seal into any print or online materials or merchandise, please consult with University Communications.
