Brand Guidelines

Web Guidelines

While it's not necessary for every University of Denver Web page to look exactly the same, your visitors benefit from consistency. They expect sites that convey the institution's identity and that present information clearly and carefully.

DU websites should use branded templates within the University's content management system. Although the templates are consistent in overall design, architecture and navigation, a number of design elements are customizable.

See our examples of website templates.

Copy for DU websites should be clear, succinct and compelling. Materials should be organized with plenty of headlines and subheads to facilitate scanning. Paragraphs should be limited to one main idea.

For more information on DU's preferred style for content on the Web, see the Web content style guide (PDF).

For more information about effective Web writing, or to set up a training session, contact Kate Johnson.

All University of Denver sites must comply with current Web standards and accessibility guidelines. Contact the Division of Marketing & Communications for more information.
