Oct. 10, 2011—The Josef Korbel School for International Studies (JKIS) will launch its first annual Public Diplomacy Speaker Series on Oct. 12 featuring General George W.Casey.
General George W. Casey is one of the most accomplished soldiers in U.S. history and an authority on strategic leadership. He will speak to University of Denver students about (please fill in).
Casey served as the 36th Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army from April 2007 to 2011. Throughout his career, he served operational assignments in Germany, Italy, Egypt, Bosnia, Iraq, and the United States.
Commissioned a second lieutenant of Infantry from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service in 1970, General Casey also holds a Masters degree in International Relations from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies and has served as a Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council of the United States.
