Oct. 31, 2012—The University of Denver, site of the first Presidential Debate, will again engage its students, faculty and staff in the democratic process when it hosts an election night watch party for the University community from 5-10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6 in the Driscoll Student Center.
The event, being sponsored by the Office of Student Activities, the Division of Marketing and Communications, and the Graduate Student Government, will feature election coverage on two big screen TVs, photos with the "cardboard candidates," giveaways of Presidential Debate commemorative items, and pizza and snacks while supplies last. All DU community members are invited to attend the casual, drop-in style party
Reporters looking for election events and celebrations away from the political party headquarters will have opportunities to interview students, faculty or staff attendees.
