Classes will start for all students on Sept. 10. This fall, the University of Denver anticipates it will welcome 1,450 new undergraduate students (both first year and transfer). These students were selected from an applicant pool of over 16,000 this year—a new record for the school.
The new class comes from 46 states and 16 countries. Approximately 61% are from out of state, 9% international students and 20% are students of color- a new record as well. The academic credentials of this class are very competitive with an average high school grade point average of 3.7. More than 360 have a perfect 4.0 grade point average. Fifteen of these incoming students are recipients of the prestigious full-ride Boettcher Scholarship.
Returning students will move in on Wednesday, September 5.
