Biological Sciences
From cellular structure and function to ecosystem dynamics
Research and discovery are the hallmarks of an academic experience in Biological Sciences at the University of Denver. Undergraduate and graduate students work side-by-side with a faculty mentors.
Undergraduates may choose from five majors and two specialty concentrations. These options reflect the diverse applications and career opportunities for students of the life sciences.
Graduate students in the MS and PhD programs perform original research in their chosen field beginning in the first year. Curriculum and research options are selected either in Cell & Molecular Biology or Ecology & Evolution.
The intellectual growth and achievements of our students are fostered by distinguished faculty who are committed to both teaching and scholarship. The collective endeavors of our students and faculty are supported by state-of-the-art laboratories and classrooms.
