Faculty Job Opening - Organic Chemist
The Division of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the University of Denver is expanding our Molecular Life Sciences Initiative with 10 tenure-track hires in recent years and 5 more in the next two years. The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in organic chemistry beginning Sept. 2014. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in chemistry, postdoctoral experience, and a demonstrated potential for leadership in their field, including a record of high-impact research accomplishments. Research interests in areas related to Molecular Life Sciences are preferred, including bioorganic chemistry, chemical biology, and medicinal chemistry. Expectations include the teaching of undergraduate and graduate courses with a focus on organic chemistry, and the development of a strong, extramurally funded research program.
